

Influence chapter 4 It was only a few nights after the encounter with the strange creature. I woke up rather suddenly after a nightmare which I couldn't recall. I summoned the effort to turn my head around so I could check the time. It was still early in the morning so I tried to get back to sleep but to no avail. I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. My instincts told me to get dressed so I did just that. Influence chapter 3 The incident took place when we were 10 years old so we were rather young. Our school back then was only small and so we all knew each other rather well. George was still rather friendly, with a friend from every year group, but I was more talkative because of the smaller environment. There were only ten people in our year and about seventy pupils in the school so there was a lot of space at break times. Influence chapter 2 The rest of the week went by rather quickly. I was impatient to check out the corn field where I spotted the weird flash of light and the creature. Surely a creature of that speed would've flattened a lot of the corn but it was hard to tell from the bus because the field was quite distant from the road.
